Actor. Singer. Model. Visual Artist.
A dedicated performer, visual artist, & creative producer, Marisa can currently be seen worldwide as “Huilen” – a pivotal character in the highly anticipated Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Since graduating from Brown University, she has lived and worked professionally in both New York and Los Angeles. Marisa has modeled for popular magazines like “Latina” & “Glamour”, has appeared in national commercials, print ads, indie films, studio films, and has portrayed several memorable characters in popular Network TV shows like Sons of Anarchy, Criminal Minds, and Private Practice.
Most recently, Marisa has worked with Oscar-winning Director Bill Condon in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 2, and with Sci-Fi favorite Jonathan Frakes, who directed Marisa in an episode of ABC’s popular drama “Castle”. A star of both stage and screen, Marisa reprised the lead role of “Dorothy Dark Eyes” this past February in the New York debut of “Distant Thunder”, a new Native American musical first presented at The Autry Theater in Los Angeles.
Her artistic endeavors in the realms of music, photography, and production have led to a myriad of opportunities both at home and abroad. Marisa has performed as a professional vocalist in both the Unites States and Mexico, as well as been commissioned as a professional photographer in LA, New York, Milan, & London.
Marisa’s dedication to creating opportunities for artistic expression in Film, Television, and New Media inspired her to establish Monarch Media Productions, an organization committed to generating innovative content which challenges stereotypes and promotes diversity. Monarch Media Production’s first major project, Sweet Mary & Jane, allowed Marisa the collaborative experience of co-producing, co-creating and co-starring in this edgy, female driven comedy.
“As a performer and creator, I am committed to being part of a driving force in inspiring a great societal shift in perspective. One that sees beyond stereotypes & celebrates the beauty and worth of all cultures, races, and lifestyles in our America.
Ultimately: Both personally and professionally – I seek to be a conduit of Truth, Love, & Humanity.”
